B&J Equipment offers high-quality training for all Gilbarco/Veeder-Root, Gasboy and Red Jacket certified training. Most certification classes require completing an online class before attending the hands-on class.
Our Gilbarco Certified Trainer, Mike Thompson, has over 35 years experience in the petroleum equipment industry and 10 years as a trainer. We hold a Passport class at least once a month with more than 35 classes taught, and offer an average of six Dispenser and Veeder-Root classes, and as many Gasboy Fleet classes as needed.

Classes start at 8:00am and end when content for that day is covered.
Important Notice: It is now REQUIRED that students bring laptops with either wireless Ethernet or hardwire Ethernet connections to all classes. Internet access will be available in the classroom so students can download class materials, documents, and do the required testing online with Gilbarco.
Please note the following:
- Classes are filled on a "first come, first served" basis. Please make alternate course choices. Registration will not be accepted by phone. A fax or email registration is required. COURSE AVAILABILITY – If a course is full or postponed, you will be contacted by the Training Department. We need a minimum of three students to present a class.
CANCELLATION POLICY – The Training Department must be notified and will notify students’ companies at least two weeks in advance of the course to receive a refund of tuition. B&J Equipment cannot be held responsible for penalties incurred by airline ticket cancellation or schedule changes.

Class begins at 8:00am on Monday mornings.
- Online material must be completed and passed before attending the hands-on class.
- Laptops will be needed in the classroom during training.
- After-class daily tests will need to be completed.
- Small hand tools will also be needed in the classroom.
Gasboy Plus Systems Class

Veeder-Root Course Descriptions
**Laptops with high-speed Internet and serial port or serial replicator REQUIRED. Windows Vista and Windows 7 NOT currently supported.**
Level 1 Installation
This is a home study course that Veeder-Root requires for proper installation of their equipment. It can be purchased by contacting the Gilbarco/Veeder-Root Technical Training Registrar at 336-547-5743.
Level 2/3 Start-Up and Service
4 Days (Including TLS-450)

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Level 1 Home Study Course. Mandatory console web-based training will be assigned prior to attending class. Some of the subjects covered in this class are listed below:

- Automatic Tank Gauge Operation

- MAG Probe & Sensor Installation, Operation and Troubleshooting
- Electronic Line Leak Detection – includes PLLD and WPLLD

Level 4 Recertification
Prerequisite: This class is required 24 months after successful completion of the Level 2/3 course, for re-certification purposes. The Level 4 class is designed to introduce new products and to help certified technicians with programs and equipment that might have changed or they are not familiar with.

Red Jacket Course Description

Laptop Requirements: All classes have laptop requirements and they are listed below Dispensing Systems.
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP (not currently supporting Vista or Windows 7). Serial port or serial port replicator for connection to dispensers. High-speed internet access (either wired or wireless).
- Veeder-Root Classes: Windows 2000 or Windows XP (not currently supporting Vista or Windows 7). Serial port or serial port replicator for rs232 communication in Level 2/3. Wired Ethernet port for TCP/IP communication (RJ45 port). High-speed internet access.
- Gasboy Plus: Windows 2000 or Windows XP (not currently supporting Vista or Windows 7). Internet Explorer 7 and up. Wired Ethernet port for TCP/IP communication. High-speed internet access. Java Application (Can be downloaded from http://Java.com).
- Red Jacket: High-speed Internet access (either wireless or wired).
